The Dark Nebula's & Southern Squadron's 40th Birthdays in 2022 & 2023 presented the perfect opportunity for their respective creators, Tad & Dave to put their heads together to craft a new telling of an age-old story that started the wave of Aussie comics that followed since, The Origin of The Dark Nebula with The Southern Squadron tightly interwoven throughout. 

This is clearly a story 40 years in the making with something for everyone, readers new & old. For the new readers it's an excellent jump-on point without having to worry about chasing 40 years of print-history & for older, established readers it's a fresh retelling with so much more included.  Here the respective creators have found a way to make it fresh & exciting moving forward, so you know it's gotta be fun.
